Uganda Aggressively Markets Friendly Gorilla Permit Prices
As Rwanda doubled price for gorilla permits from $750 to $1500, tour operators in neighboring countries like Kenya and Tanzania who was taking there their clients for gorilla trekking to Rwanda are in Kampala to strike a deal with Uganda Tourism Board (UTB).
This enhances Uganda’s opportunities of attracting more tourists from different parts of the world to visit the country and UTB will use the hike to its advantage in the upcoming Indaba Fair.
“Our $600 cost for gorilla permit will be shouted boisterously and clear in South Africa during the Indaba Fair,” said the UTB boss Steven Asiimwe.
“Other than the mountain gorillas there are lots more to astonish the most sophisticated tourist on the planet. There is mount climbing, white water rafting on the Nile, bird watching, the newly launched hot air balloon and zipping that are not offered somewhere else in the area” he included.
At the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) members bound to South Africa bragged about having been the best exhibitors for a long time and have the best gorilla trekking price this time.
“In Bwindi Impenetrable forest which is home to the rare and endangered mountain gorillas, has natural walk while at tracking gorillas. Watching different species of birds, reptiles, mammal and other animals in the jungle that cross your path has the guide try to explain to you all animals you come across” said UWA’s Steven Masaba.
