Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
The Bwindi National Park, in the south western part of Uganda is a UNESCO World Heritage Site found on the boarder of Uganda and Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) next to Virunga National Park the edge of the Albertine Rift. It’s among the few destinations in the Africa with a rich ecosystem and its now one of the most loved and remarkable tourist destinations in Africa.
On your visit to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, don’t forget to carry your cameras and binoculars because the park is home to a variety of wildlife including 120 different species of mammals, over 348 recorded species of bird, 200 different species of trees and many other endangered animal species.
The park was made common and famous the rare and endangered mountain gorillas which attract thousands of tourists from different part of the world. Mountain gorillas are the highlights of a tour to Uganda and the park is home to over half of the few remaining population of mountain gorillas in the world and the rest are found in Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park, Virunga National Park in DRC and Mgahinga Gorilla Park in Uganda.
